Ancient Eye

An intimate study of a rhinoceros eye surrounded by extraordinary folds, cracks and textures of weathered skin. At this scale the animal becomes almost landscape-like, revealing the intricate surface and character easily overlooked in a conventional wildlife portrait. Photographed at Port Lympne in Kent.
