Between the Slats

Pebbles caught between the heavy wooden slats of an RNLI lifeboat launch slip on the Kent coast create an unexpected meeting of structure and shoreline. Viewed close and low, the repeating timbers become almost architectural, while fragments of the beach appear through the narrow gaps.
